Foundation for Defense of Democracies

The Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) is a neoconservative think tank based in Washington, D.C., which was founded two days after the September 11th attack in 2001.[1][2] In its own words, it “uniquely combines policy research, democracy training, strategic communications, and investigative journalism. We focus our efforts where opinions are formed and, ultimately, where the war of ideas will be won or lost: in the media, on college campuses, and in the policy community, at home and abroad.”[3]

In 2004, FDD reincarnated the Cold War relic Committee on the Present Danger in support of the so-called ‘war on terror’. George W. Bush used FDD as a platform for the launch of his National Security Strategy 2006[4].

by John Judge, 1982

The assets of Jim Jones’ People’s Temple have yet to be fully accounted, but early research in the press and by independent investigators put the total between $26 million and $2 billion. Following the money leads down a twisted trail of international banks, dummy fronts, real estate investments and conflicting government reports. Various sources estimate a total of at least $17-$20 million in foreign investments, and property worth $2.5 million that passed through deed, sale and ownership from 1976 to 1979. Some $12 million dollars was deposited in mysterious accounts in Panama.

During the recent scandal involving the Vatican Bank, Bank Ambrosiana and deceased Italian financier Roberto Calvi, information surfaced indicating that some of the siphoned millions went to Panamanian (more…)

Jon E. Lewis with Emma Daffern

The conspiracy theory “boom” has been rolling towards us and gathering pace since 22 November 1963, when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. That the most famous man in the world could be murdered in broad Texan sunlight by a “lone gunman” beggared belief. A sense of innocence was lost that day. It was beaten into oblivion by the succession of American figures who were also, supposedly, assassinated by “lone gunmen”: Robert F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and Malcolm X. The proof that there was something rotten in the state of Western politics came in the next decade. Watergate.
Of course, there were conspiracies and assumed conspiracies before 1963: some considered the (more…)

dime-and-facist-symbolP2 – A Proven Masonic Conspiracy

[One] conspiracy, Masonic in origin, was catapulted into the sunshine one day in March of 1981 when the Italian police searched the home of Worshipful Master Licio Gelli and found a list containing the names of some of Italy’s most prominent officials, including that of Silvio Berlusconi, a man who would become Premier of Italy and a personal friend of George W. Bush.

Founded in 1877, P2 or Propaganda Due was an irregular lodge formed as part of the Grand Orient of Italy. It had few members until Licio Gelli came to power and drastically expanded its membership within one year to over a thousand. Gelli was a former fascist, having been a “black shirt” in Mussolini’s government, and served as a liaison between Mussolini’s government and the Third Reich. Essentially setting the P2 Lodge up as a shadow government for Italy along fascist lines in the 60’s and 70’s, Gelli’s Lodge included four Cabinet Ministers, all three heads of Italy’s intelligence organizations, forty eight members of parliament, hundreds of military officers, and the cream of the crop of Italy’s industrialists, bankers and diplomats. In addition, he developed high level contacts outside of Italy as well, most notably meeting with Alexander Haig, and contacts with Henry (more…)

Carl Magnus Torsten Armfelt was closely connected with the WACL during the 1970’s and 1980’s, and with the chief of Dutch Intelligence, Cornelis van den Heuvel, who chaired organizations like Civis Mundi, Interdoc, and the Atlantic Commission at his office in the Hague, located at van Stolkweg 10. When I visited him in 1977 and told him that I was investigating the Korean-based Moon Organization, he showed me the map with the proceedings of the WACL-meetings, that he attended in the past, including all the members from Belgium, Holland, England, Sweden, White Russia, U.S.A., Japan, and South Korea.

The WACL was directed from Taipeh, Seoul, Tokyo and Mexico City, where the Tecos movement was located. When I wrote a letter to the Secretary of WACL in Taipeh, I received information about their comrades from Holland: Professor Vos of Leyden University, Prosper Ego of OSL in Rotterdam, and Ad Ploeg, member of Dutch parliament. Right now, the University of Leyden and the Korean Institute can (more…)
